Church Breaks Ground on both Philadelphia and Trujillo Peru Temples

This week the Church had groundbreaking ceremonies for two temples. 1) The First temple in Pennsylvania and #2) the Second temple built for Peru (in Trujillo.) The Lima Peru temple was dedicated in 1986 (the 38th temple)  There are now 135 operating temples, 14 more under construction and 12 more locations announced and in design for 161 total.  The Quetzaltenango Guatemala temple will be dedicated in December, so 2011 will only add two newly opened temples.

There are 10 stakes in Pennsylvania and 95 stakes in Peru.
