There are just over 10,000 Latter-day Saints in what is now one stake and six districts of the Church in India. There are two missions, the India Bangalore Mission and the India New Delhi Mission.

The islands in the South Pacific that make up New Caledonia are approximately 1/2 between Brisbane Australia and the Fiji islands. New Caledonia is in the Fiji Suva Mission and actually is a part of France (11 time zones away).

The population in New Caledonia is estimated at 225 Thousand, so 0.9% of their population is already LDS.
New Caledonia is the 80th Nation or territory to have an LDS stake and the 8th new country since Jan 2010
